What is Slendertone?
Slendertone is a system used by a lot of celebrities… well it is celebrity endorsed, but don’t let that fool you. They get paid and paid well to endorse various products. However, it is used by everyday folk too for strengthening and toning their bodies. The main product that most people want to know about, is the Slendertone ab belt, The Flex Belt, Slendertone face, Slendertone shorts or Slendertone arms.
This system is available for both male and female. The belt may only cover the lower section of your abdominal, but the impulses target the entire ab region including the rectus, transverses abdominius and obliques.
It’s said that 20 minutes use is equivalent to approx. 120 crunches, which is probably why this is such a popular product. Hey… everybody wants results without having to work too hard to get them. Am I right?
Slendertone offers the same system as the muscle toning belt to target other muscle groups such as your gluteus maximus i.e. your butt. Slendertone shorts not only targets your butt, but also inner and outer thighs.
Also available is Slendertone Arms for targeting, you guessed it, your arm muscle groups. All of the Slendertone range are for both male and female.
Slendertone Reviews – How does Slendertone work?
Slendertone makes use of modern technology using strategically placed pads to isolate and stimulate muscle through electronic impulses. Boy… that’s a bit of a mouthful isn’t it? They call it EMS – Electrical Muscle Stimulus.
Basically what it means is that by strapping these pads to various parts of your body, the muscles in that area are supplied with electronic impulses that stimulate the muscle causing it to contract. Doing so creates better blood circulation and well… an isolated workout.
In fact, the technology is not entirely new, as it has been used in physiotherapy clinics and even hospitals for over 40 years. It’s proven rehabilitative for those with injuries otherwise unable to exercise.
As far as using it to develop the perfect slendertone gymbody, well… independent clinical trials have concluded 100% of participants improved muscle tone and strength.

Does Slendertone really work?
Combined with regular exercise and a balanced diet, it’s great for those hard to move areas. You know what I’m talking about. For me it’s that hard to move roll around my mid-riff. A lot of folks find Slendertone really helpful; amazing in fact at moving those hard to budge regions when combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise.
Pros:
- Great if you have somewhat of a sedentary lifestyle or don’t really have time to get to the gym often. You can even strap Slendertone on while watching TV. Just mind the snack food.
- Excellent if you are nursing an injury and can’t exercise as a result, but still want to maintain your physical condition. Please note: I am not a doctor so seek medical advice before you go out and buy Slendertone. However, the EMS system is FDA certified.
- Great for helping to move those stubborn areas. Say goodbye to the old love-handles. I kind of like them though – just my personal opinion.
- Used by lots of celebs – gotta be good then!
- Great for stimulating muscle tone and increasing strength.
- An excellent accompaniment to any exercise program.
- Comparatively low in price as opposed to a gym membership or equipment.
Cons:
- Should be used in conjunction with a healthy diet – if you could call that a con – I’d suggest that a healthy diet is the best place to start.
- Could possibly lull you into thinking that you no longer need to exercise, which of course is really important no matter whether you have a problem with weight or not.
- Relatively expensive compared to some weight-loss pills.
Recommendation:
Although the Slendertone product is expensive, it has worked for so many and does do what it claims to do. It is a leader in its technology and is endorsed not only by the lovely celebrities, but in fact certified by the FDA.
If you do decide to buy it, be sure to follow all the instructions and don’t expect the impossible. It contributes to toning and strengthening muscle, but is not likely to go burning fat. If you have a weight problem, perhaps combine a complementary (natural) fat burner or fat blocker type product for best results.

There are lots of places on the Internet to purchase Slendertone, but I found an excellent website that delivers promptly anywhere in the world. Great for me considering I live way down under.
